WESTBOROUGH WRAMBLERS

 

SUNDAY 28th FEBRUARY

The walk will be led by David and Maggie B, assembling at ‘their  Newby home,  at 1.45 pm for a 2 pm start. Walking boots would be preferable as the walk may be muddy in parts.

Refreshments will be provided after the walk. Please see the notice on the notice board in the Coffee Lounge if you would like or can offer transport. For any queries please ring 362091.

Monday February 8th                St Hilda’s, Ravenscar

Part of the Local Ecumenical Partnership of the Church at Staintondale & Ravenscar

Worship and prayer, discussion and silence, reflection and fellowship, space and sharing, serenity and challenge.

Enjoy some wonderful views and a beautiful church.

Transport available, sign the list in the coffee lounge.

Bring and share lunch. Donations to St Hilda’s, Ravenscar.

METHODIST LUNCHEON CLUBS

meet  October to April on the 3rd Wednesday in the month at the Delmont Hotel. The men and women meet for lunch at 12:45, then have their own speakers in separate areas.

An introduction to Calligraphy

 a 5 week course to try your hand at penmanship, will be held on Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m., starting on 10th February.

PUBLIC FAIRTRADE EVENT

Wednesday 24th February

Scarborough Library, Vernon Road

Hear directly about the impact of Fairtrade from Nioka Abbott-Balcombe.

The evening will begin with refreshments in the Crush Hall at 7.00 pm, along with a stall and a display, then proceed to Nioka Abbott Balcombe’s audio-visual presentation starting at 7.30 pm., followed by a Question & Answer session. Come and hear firsthand about how Fairtrade benefits producers, consumers and retailers alike!
